The Zillertal Alps high mountain nature park is 379 km² and altitudes range from about a kilometer in the mountaineer town of Ginzling, all the way up to 3,509 m on the Hochfeiler. It offers excellent hiking opportunities, the most notable trail probably being the Berlin High Trail.
The Zillertal Alps Nature Park stretches from the Reichenspitze in the east to the Olperer in the west. It is easy to reach from Mayrhofen in the north. On the south side it is bordered by the main ridge of the Alps, on the Italian border.
